If their other retail outlet in Ramsbottom is anything to go by, according to the owner Sara Wilkins, then Valencian Paella dishes will soon be flying off the shelves of  The Cooks Emporium at 111 King Street, Knutsford. Hopefully, they will not be responsible for an increase in sightings of UFO's around the town. The opening is scheduled for this Saturday 27th March. With additional retail units being let to new businesses due to open soon, King Street promises to offer visitors and residents a unique mix of independent outlets with items and products that are uniquely sourced.

Administrators appointed for Eaton Estates - Knutsford's 'fastest growing estate agents in the area.' PDF Print E-mail

Administrators Aaron & Partners LLP (Chester) were appointed for Eaton Estates (Knutsford) Ltd on 25/01/2010 - a suprising early casualty in 2010.  Only recently it's own advertising claimed that the company was 'the fastest growing estate agency in the area'. The company's demise was reportedly to have been caused by the severe downturn in the housing market with hopes of a recovery having recently suffered a double blow with a collapse in both mortgage lending and the building of new homes. The total value of home loans in January hit a ten year low, according to the Council of Mortgage Lenders. The CML said that mortgage advances were down by 32 per cent on December and the lowest level since February 2000. Eaton Estates has subsequently been bought from the administrators and continues to trade from its offices at the top of  Minshull Street in Knutsford.
